The crossroads of the Snowy Mountains, Berridale is a small community approx 28km from Jindabyne. Within close proximity to Lake Jindabyne and the Thredbo and Perisher snowfields, Berridale is a popular base for those visiting the area all year round. With a local population of about 1000 people this great little community is full of spirit and good old fashion mateship.
Surrounding the township of Berridale are the very intriguing and unusual granite boulders unique to the Snowy Mountains region. 400 million years old, the boulders were formed when large masses of magma were crystallised many kilometers under the earths surface and with time the grantite was eroded and uplifted to be exposed at the earths surface.
